Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday (January 18, 2024) said that at the time of independence, Ram Temple was not an issue of conflict between Hindus and Muslims and every community has supported the Ram Janmabhoomi movement in some way or the other. Rajnath Singh said that no one can imagine India without Ram and the grand temple being built in Ayodhya is a symbol of the restoration of Indian culture.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh was speaking on the occasion of the release of a book ‘Rom Rom Mein Ram’. This book is a compilation of essays written by late senior journalist and MP Ashwini Chopra and others. He said that Ram temple is being constructed after a wait of 500 years. He said, ‘The new Ram temple being built in Ayodhya is a symbol of the restoration of Indian culture. India cannot be imagined without Ram.
Defense Minister Rajnath said, 12 Muslims had given an affidavit in support of Ram Temple.
Rajnath Singh said, ‘Ayodhya will become a symbol of the new India which will give India the ability to lead the world once again. Ayodhya will become an inspiration for the rest of the world. He said that Ram Temple was not an issue of conflict between Hindus and Muslims at the time of independence. He said, ‘At that time, 12 Muslims had given an affidavit in support of Ram Temple… It was not a matter of conflict between Hindus and Muslims, it was a matter related to the faith of Hindus.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said, ‘The first FIR related to Ram Temple was lodged against a group of Sikhs.’ He said, ‘Every community has supported the Ram Janmabhoomi movement in some way or the other. In the 80s and 90s, some parties opposed it for vote bank politics and this continues. Defense Minister said, ‘When the Prime Minister Narendra Modi When we talk about poor welfare, this idea is inspired by Lord Ram.

Rajnath Singh also praised Modi for starting the 11-day special religious observance ahead of the January 22 consecration ceremony at the Ram temple. He said, ‘Modi ji is doing long meditation for 11 days… I could never have imagined that someone can be a sadhak in politics also.’
